Dr. Watkins is currently the
Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Community Relations at Millbrook Central School District. She is entering her 29th year in education, beginning as a teacher at both the elementary and middle school levels to serving as a middle school principal before transitioning to district administration for the past eight years. In addition to her passion for learning and inspiring others to grow, she led the design and renovation of several libraries in the past, specializing in making spaces more interactive for her districts' students. Dr. Watkins's immeasurable knowledge will keep the goals and vision of this library on a positive and efficient trajectory.
Beloved Children and NYT author Susanna Leanord Hill brings her expertise to the Board of Trustees. Not only is her passion for children's education palpable, but her network of authors and publishing houses will inspire a new, beautiful kind of library.
Mr. Mcpartland's extensive background in finance and entrepreneurship, as well as his knowledge from being on the Union Vale Zoning Board of Appeals and a member of the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce, will provide the Board with endless benefits.
A Union Vale resident for the past 50 years, Ms. Capizzuto understands the community and the need for the town to have a central place where our town’s residents can gather. Ms. Capizzuto is the Chief Human Resources Officer for a local non-profit that provides supports services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and has a deep understanding of the benefits a library can provide for not only anyone with a disability but everyone in the community.
Mr. Ritter’s passion and excitement for the Union Vale Public Library is contagious. While his real estate and technology background is highly beneficial, his ambitions, creativity, and commitment set him apart. These intrinsic factors will create a unique library for the Union Vale community.
